Greubel Forsey's new product in 2025 is Nano-Foudroyante EWT. Its related introduction is as follows:
Appearance design Small size: The case width is only 37.9 mm and the thickness is 10.49 mm. It is the most compact watch produced by Greubel Forsey, changing the brand's previous large-size style impression.
Unique material: The middle part of the case is brushed white gold, and the back and bezel are made of titanium. After hand-polishing, it is full of texture and durable.
Functional features Innovative timing display: It has a unique split-second timing function. The split timing pointer runs continuously in 1/6 second units, corresponding to each half swing of the 3 Hz balance wheel. There is a running second hand driven directly by the fourth wheel at 7:30 on the dial. Between 4 and 7 o'clock is a one-minute flying tourbillon, which also serves as an additional running second hand. A small sub-dial for the jumping second hand is also installed on the movement.
Special tourbillon design: The tourbillon cage consists of 142 parts, and the swinging sub-dial mounted on the rotating tourbillon splint, through a special gear device, can always remain upright relative to the frame no matter how the tourbillon rotates.
Precision chronograph: It is the brand's first chronograph, with manual winding, column wheel drive, flyback design, and equipped with a vertical clutch. The button at 2 o'clock is used to start and stop the chronograph, and the button at 3 o'clock is used for reset and flyback.
Technological breakthrough Application of nanomechanics: Using nanomechanics technology, the foudroyante pointer is directly applied to the escapement wheel, achieving 6 jumps per second, reducing inertia and energy consumption, and demonstrating the powerful capabilities of miniaturized machinery.
Energy management innovation: The traditional foudroyante mechanism has high energy consumption, but this watch has successfully reduced energy consumption through miniaturization technology, consuming only 16nJ per jump, which is 1800 times lower than the traditional swinging pointer.
Fine gear technology: The gear teeth are very fine, with a pitch module not exceeding 0.05 mm, which improves meshing efficiency, reduces backlash, and helps reduce energy consumption. It is produced using nickel-phosphorus alloy and achieved through LIGA micro-manufacturing technology.
